The new republic has been spared from some of it's anxieties recently due to repeated attacks by a star ship called the Red Hand on consortium forces.The most recent attack by the Red Hand was over the currently BVC held mining facility of Kessel.The attack was devastating as the 5 km long ship used it's 4 massive lasers to rake the famous asteroid's surface with destruction.300 merchant vessel where destroyed by a devastating barrage of turbo laser fire from the Red Hand's 30,000 turbo laser batteries.None of the merchant vessels destroyed where affiliates of the BVC.Space transportation experts have determined that the Red Hand traveled at only .18 past light speed on it's journey from Barab I to Kessel.NRN news Fonbor Del reporting.
